Expanded Metal is available in the standard sizes in steel, aluminum, copper, brass and stainless steel. It is also available in other alloys and sizes on special order. both the standard and flattened Expanded Metal have numerous structural applications, including shelving, machinery guards, walkways, stair treads and risers, window guards and partitions.

A number of special styles are also available for architectural and trim, grilles, sunshades and furniture.

When ordering Expanded Metal, it should be remembered that the width of the sheet is always measured in the direction of the short dimension of the diamond, while the length is measured in the direction of the long dimension of the diamond.

Expanded metal grating is a safety oriented, lightweight walking surface offering excellent non-slip traction under the most adverse conditions.The open design allows visibility and protection of people and equipment and permits the passage of heat, light and air. The surface is practically self cleaning since snow, water and oil drain off easily. The variety of sheet sizes available permits easier installation at the jobsite since complex fabrication can be competed with common hand tools and less direct labor.

	Catwalk grating offers all of the same advantages as normal expanded grating but, in addition, higher strength results from the pattern of the diamond design which positions the long way of the diamond across the open span.

	Since the 1960's, fiberglass grating has been produced for use in corrosive environment such as petrochemical or pharmaceutical plants. This lightweight strong type of grating is easily installed and requires low demand maintenance.

Open Steel Floor Grating is recommended for all grating applications, including walkways, floors, fire escapes, decks around machinery and the like. This is a very strong, rigid and durable steel flooring material
